Ultrasonography

We usually do a baseline ultrasound during the first visit along with a complete physical examination.
This baseline scan is important in diagnosing conditions like simple ovarian cysts, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, adenomyosis etc which by themselves may be the cause of infertility.

During the IUI/IVF cycle Vaginal ultrasound scanning plays a key role in tracking follicular growth.
When done by a skilled doctor, vaginal ultrasound scanning provides valuable information; and makes daily blood testing for estradiol levels superfluous.
